Born
to Entertain:
Adam has been
singing and dancing since he was two years old. It would not surprise
his grandfather Ted (who wrote
& performed for Sam Kahn & Lou Armstrong), or his father (who
has a well-known orchestra "Stu Weitz"). Becoming a third
generation entertainer was in the cards!
Adam began performing professionally at the age of thirteen with his
father's band. His talents quickly developed learning "old school" principles
with a fresh and energetic style. It wasn't long before Adam was performing
as a lead vocalist & band leader.
Award Winning Talent:
Adam
began working within the mobile disk jockey industry specializing in full production
bar & bat mitzvahs. Because of his personality, and unique singing ability,
he became a well-respected entertainer in DJ Production. Adam's parties created
a sound and style that still goes unmatched. In 1997, Adam was voted the "DJ
Times Entertainer of the Year" during the annual competition held at the "International
DJ Expo" in Atlantic City, NJ. To win this title, Adam competed against
the most talented entertainers across North America. Professionals recognize
him for his abilities as a Master of Ceremonies and vocalist nationwide. Year
after year, he is asked to educate on panels at National Conventions. In 1998,
Adam opened the door to "A# Sharp Production" continuing the tradition
of live music and incorporating full disc jockey production for clients everywhere. Later
in 1998, he received the annual "East Coast Interactive DJ of the year" award.
Pioneer of the Industry:
Adam
& his cast at A# Sharp Production received the National Award for "Mobile
Entertainer of the Month" in the September, 2000 issue of DJ Times magazine. This
was awarded for Adam's brilliant pioneering of live music & disc jockey production
combinations. Each and every year, Adam is continually asked to perform and
instruct at seminars and to train other production companies around the country. In
the summer of 2002, once again, A# Sharp participated and won first place for
"Best Interactive Dance" at the International DJ Convention. This
was their tribute for all entertainers in America to the song "Living in America"
by James Brown.
Adam's Dedication to you:
"With
my experience in entertainment, I bring color and excitement to you. We create
each affair to be original & special. I take my career seriously because
I love what I do! We only reserve the very best in entertainment. Having fun
and making it memorable is the most important formality. This is my dedication
to you."
Musically yours,
Adam Weitz
